The AHC21325 Certificate II in Shearing Course is suitable for those who have little to no experience in shearing or as the next step up for those who have completed our AHCSS00192 Introduction to the Wool Harvesting Industry Skill Set (VICTORIA) or SSIDS01005 Introduction to Shearing Skill Set Course in SA. The course is also suitable for woolhandlers looking to learn new skills. Upon completion novice shearers will be able to shear a minimum of 40 adult merino sheep or 50 adult crossbred sheep per day to an acceptable industry standard. Our leading industry trainers provide one on one coaching & expert tips throughout the duration of the course to enable you to shear to a high quality. The course also teaches highly sought-after practical skills for the shearing environment, enabling you to become employable as "learners" in commercial wool harvesting operations throughout Australia. Graduates are highly sought after by the wool harvesting industry due to the high level of training, leading to excellent employment outcomes.
